I'm a first class, slack-ass blogger. ;)
My excuse is that getting on the computer rarely happens in my life now. If I have any free time (i.e. during Matthew's naptime), I'm doing OTHER things like house work, or exercising, and sometimes a nap. But the naps for me are few and far between now.
Matthew has been cooing alot lately and smiling alot. He loves to cuddle which is great, but not so great for nap time. He has to be held to drowsy and sometimes he has to be completely asleep before i put him down or he wakes up. I'm trying to break that - just putting him down when I know he's tired and ready to sleep, but he cries and the crying leads to screaming. Ugh. Sleep at night IS better, but not through the night yet. He had been doing down around 8 or 9, wake at 0300 or 0330 to nurse, then back down till 0630. But the past week he's been getting up 2 times a night. It's around 0130 or 0230 and then again between 0430 and 0530, or sometimes 1230 and 0330. Most of the time it's the first. Wake time is fun - he smiles alot and coos alot. Likes music and books. Likes for me to talk to him alot. He hates tummy time - used to be good at it, now when he's on his belly he just lays there and gets comfy. lol Wouldn't be a problem if he didn't need to learn to use his head! But, when he actually lifts his head up, he's really good at it. It hates to be held like a "baby". He likes to be held like a big boy over the shoulder. At least he gets head control through this. So, needless to say, rolling over has not happened yet because he hates his tummy time. lol He'll get it eventually I guess.
He will be 2 months old on Monday. His 2 month well baby is next Friday (Oct 4th), and he'll be getting his first shot. :( More on this later...
We are spending this weekend in Williamston - Matthew's first night away from home. There is a baseball tourney in at the field so Brian has to be in Williamston for the weekend. Brian's parents are out of town for a wedding, so we are taking up shop at thier house for the weekend. Hope Matthew does ok!
Speaking of Williamston, we have moved back on the bandwagon to moving back there. I really think we are going to. If it doesn't happen, it will be because we can't sell our house or finding a loan that meets our needs doesn't happen. No, our house is not on the market yet...more on this potential move later too. Too much for this post!
2 month picture to come in a few days!
