I am 100% sure that I felt the baby move yesterday. :)
I was at work, had just eaten a few bites of banana pudding (yum!) and about 15 minutes later I felt this *something* about 2 inches below my belly button and 3 inches to the left of that. I can't really describe it at all. But when I felt it, I was like "That was baby!" without a doubt. I'd been feeling some things here and there that I think *maybe* it could be baby (and more than likely it is) but nothing that definitive as yesterday. It was pretty cool. Looking forward to feeling that often. I believe it will help me to be less scared, if that's the word, and not wonder if baby is ok in there.
Labor is something else I've been thinking about lately. Normally, the thought of it TERRIFIES me. I don't know why...well no I do actually. It's because of nursing school that I know WAY to much about labor and delivery. Again, REALLY wishing I was clueless. But, last night I was thinking about it, and all I could think of was laying my eyes on my sweet little one and holding hiim/her and listening to him/her cry and meeting this precious one for the first time. That moment will be the best moment in my entire life. And that wasn't scary at all. It was exciting! So, I'll just have to try and focus on that.
It snowed again last night. Really snowed this time! We got 7 inches of snow. Pure solid wet, great snowman snow. It's very pretty, and I can actually walk in it and feel safe, unlike last time where it was mostly ice. I think it'll melt fairly quickly though. It's melted some today already, and tomorrow's going to be warmer (in the 40s) and then rain at somepoint so it'll all be gone soon.
School is still going - I'm a LAZY schoolgirl though. I can't get motivated to do much. I'm basically operating at just enough to get by. I don't know if it's the "last semester" syndrome or what. Only 2 1/2 months to go and it's done!
Yay on feeling the baby. It will come more and more often! Labor will be fine, you know all the things that could go wrong, but they rarely actually DO go wrong, especially for those who give birth in a hospital.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way during my last semester. I was like whatever as long as I pass, I will still have my MSW by spring.
