TTC #2 has commenced

And I think I'm crazy for doing this with a 2 year old! But, we've been talking about it for about 6 months. Seems like a good time to go ahead and attempt. Matthew will be 3 or almost 3 by the time a new baby would be around. Hoping to have a late spring or summer baby again so now is the time! I'm back on my "cocktail": Clomid 200mg (4 pills), Dexamethasone 2mg (1 pill), Metformin 500mg (2 pills), baby aspirin (1 pill), prenatal vit (1 pill), and finally Prometrium 200mg (1 pill) to take after ovulation if I ovulate. NOT seeing an RE this time yet. I'm just doing this with my OB since we know my cocktail - this makes me happy. I started my cycle this week - first day of clomid was yesterday (CD 5). I was mostly just hot the end of the day with a mini hot flash or two. Not to bad. Today...nada. I'm excited but just I also feel like "whatever" about this. Obviously, we would love to have another child. But with all we had to go through the first time around, I'm just like, "if it happens it will just be icing on the cake". I'm really not that nervous of anxious about all this, this time around. We've got Matthew and if God decides he will be an only child, then so be it. I'll be a little sad of course, but he has given us such a wonderful child that it's hard for me to ask for more. So far, I honestly haven't prayed that much about it yet - like I said, it's just hard to pray for more when I am so grateful that I have Matthew. I'm glad I did this blog the first time around - I've been able to go back and look at things that happened last time and it's been helpful for me to remember little things like how I felt taking certain medications, etc. Gets me prepared. So other than my medications, here is what I'm also doing: 1. I'm starting the POM juice again - helped last time with uterine lining, going to get some tomorrow and start it up. I'm already a few days behind on this but better now than never. I think it's 8 oz a day and I think I usually started with my first day of clomid. 2. I'm temping and charting, checking cervical mucus on Fertility Friend. That's it for now. In family news, Matthew had surgery on Tuesday to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. He's been tough! First 2 days were a little shaky, but he is doing so good. Working on weaning off pain medication now. He had his 2nd birthday just 2 weeks ago! Time flies. Well, I'm "planning" to blog more now that I'm back into this...you know how that goes. I have some new things coming up this school year with work so I'm not sure how much of my time with be taken away. But, I LOVE my job - best job I've ever had. Couldn't ask for more. Alison
