35 weeks

Today is 35/35! Which means, I'm 35 weeks and 35 days to go! Yeah!

Matthew is busy fattening up this week. He should be about 6 lbs and 3 oz now. My growing boy! The past 35 weeks, my uterus has gone from the size of my fist, to the size of a watermelon! Seriously!

For your enjoyment, my daddy took some maternity pictures of me and Brian last weekend. He has given me permission to post them, so here are a few!

I worked last night - kinda does me in for the day though. Last night I struggled a bit! I was so tired, my lower belly was aching (dehydration probably combined with being really busy), and I was having lower back pelvic pain too. Guess my pelvis is stretching again to make room for Matthew. And I was having trouble with my fast heart rate too last night and today actually, but it's because I'm tired. It never bothers me until I get tired, then I have trouble. So, just gotta catch back up on my sleep and I should be fine.

We are headed to our home away from home tomorrow...aka Nags Head! We are just staying for a couple of nights. The hotel room we got is ocean front with a balcony, so I can sit out there and enjoy the beach, without being in the sun and a quick trip inside to cool off and the bathroom! ;) It doesn't feel like summer till I get to go to the Outer Banks. So, I'm glad we are able to get this in before Matthew's arrival.

Hard to believe 36 weeks is next week. That was my goal to make it that far. I try to not think of the "bad things", but sometimes they just get in your face. A guy Brian and I new from high school and his wife's baby was due a few days ago. She went into labor, and the baby died at some point. I don't really know what happened other than that. Seriously, someone would have to put me in the crazy house for a while and give me lots of drugs. It's just awful.

Anyway - this week will probably fly by as beach time always does. Hope you enjoyed the pictures my very talented daddy took!

  1. Wow 6 lb 3 oz...Nick was the heaviest at birth, weighing in at 5 lb 7 oz, Maddy at 4 lb 15 oz. So I can really imagine what Matthew must like! :) N&M were in the 6 lb range, not until they were 6 weeks - 2 months old.
